Alexander Makarov is a senior engineer and one of the core contributors of the Yii Framework. He is the author of Yii Application Development Cookbook.

The official documentation of the framework, I mean Yii2, is still regarded as a barrier. It has not be completed yet!
It is mostly complete. There are widgets in table of contents demos for which are going to be part of new website. These links are currently leading nowhere. Except from that it's OK.
